Here's the story on the reunion of 2013

Hey guys,

here's the scoop on the reunion:

January 19. 2013 - Email from Joan Olauson (Hill):

Dear Richard,

How the time has passed!! It will be 50 years this June since the class of 1963 left the hallowed halls of Kerrobert Composite High school. A few of us old timers decided we should have another reunion. Would you please post this information on the Kerrobert website so that we could reach as many people as possible?

We are looking for anyone who would have started school at Mary Rodney School in 1951. We would like to reach as many people as possible even if they didn’t actually graduate with us. The reunion is planned for June 21-23, 2013 in Kerrobert. There are activities planned and lots of time to eat and visit.  Most of the activities will be held at Robert and Ethel Bahm’s farm. For further information, they can contact Dorothy or Carol at kcs50th@shaw.ca.

Thanks so much for doing this for us. It would be nice to connect with you again sometime.

Sincerely

Joan Olauson (Hill)

Dear Classmates,

We put off having our 40m class reunion in 2003 thinking ahead to the Saskatchewan Centennial and having our reunion in conjunction with any festivities the Town of Kerrobert might be planning. As far as we know the celebrations will be the same as per usual--- Jamboree Days. So here is our plan. Let's meet at the rink Friday July 15th about 7pm for Cruise Night. Cruise Night is held on the street between the rink and the old Lux Theatre. It's a time for car buffs to show off their cars, there's street entertainment, a free gathering at the rink including a cash bar and more entertainment. Hamburgers and hot dogs are usually for sale. Saturday morning if there are enough of us we plan on riding as a group in the parade. The afternoon can be at your leisure to go to the grounds or browse around town (don't get lost). We'll then go out to Bob and Ethel's farm for cocktails at 4:00 followed by a cold plate supper which the Kerrobert girls will be looking after. There will be a cash bar. Please bring junk food for later in the evening. The evening can continue until we run out of steam. Next day (Sunday) we're back to Ethel's for a brunch about Ham.

We want to have a rough idea of how many will attend so please RSVP by July 7t. If you are not sure and can make it at the last minute come anyway.
