This page is devoted to the activities of the KLD Wellness Foundation and its efforts to obtain a new healthcare facility for Kerrobert and District. It will grow as I have the time to add from the information that is already available. If you wish to get more information you can obtain that through the contact information below. You can also contact me if you wish.
11/6/6 - Mayor Poggemiller (now ex-mayor) of Kerrobert, and Mayor Len Schlosser of Luseland met with provincial Health Minister Len Taylor to inform him that the KLD Wellness Foundation had raised $3 million of the $4 million target in just 18 months. Len Schlosser reported that Taylor was positive in his response.
According to Foundation chairman Richard Anderson, the organization now has enough pledges and funds on hand to cover its 35% share of the total costs.
Below is a note I received from Don Bick. I have sent in my donation, how about you?
Kerrobert,Luseland & District are building a new hospital and nursing home –
Our share is 4.2 million, and we have raised 3.1 million. This affects our town dramatically, and to lose our facility would be disastrous. 100 jobs, $1.6 million wages, emergency services for 30 mile radius, not to mention our parents now living in our Nursing Home ending up in distant towns.
Since you--- our Ex Pats have taken your place around the world, we are appealing to you to give something back to your roots in the form of a donation!! Pledges over 5 yrs accepted, receipts for Tax Purposes cut actual cost about ½. Donations over $500 will be recognized on a Brick Wall of Honour, made from 1914 Water Tower Pump House Bricks.
Get your families together and make a combined Pledge, an In -Memoriam donation, an Estate donation, a Pledge over 5 yrs, or an outright Donation.
Notices mailed out to many, so please pass this on—and most importantly talk this up with others and FAMILY.
Please make your commitment and Pledge today… knowing that you are our most VALUED EXPORT!!!
